So...just what is going to happen on Saturday?

We hope you all know that this coming Saturday, September 14th, the first celebration of the Art of the Boat is going to happen in Coupeville.  If not, time to get on board!
Yes, the boats are coming, we have some really unusual and interesting vessels, some beautiful vessels, some handmade vessels on the way.  In other words, something for everyone.  But, we have more than boats.  Below you will find a map showing the locations of events and a listing of those events, the listing shows events by time and by location.  So, check it out! The committee for
Coupeville celebrates the Art of the Boat looks forward to seeing you soon!

Time to join the crew!

The Coupeville celebrates the Art of the Boat will be happening soon.  It will be a great time and lots of fun.  But it won't be as great, or as much fun, without YOU!  How can you help?  We will need folks to check in boats, assist with arranging them, keep things moving, keep an eye on boats, pass out our map, etc.  As you can see there are lots of opportunities to get the Art of the Boat sailing smoothly, and for you to see new sights, get to know some really interesting folks and boats, be part of a new and exciting event, and to help the Whidbey community.  And, as a thank you, the committee for Coupeville celebrates the Art of the Boat would like to give you a copy of our 11 x 17 poster, signed by the artist.  Additional posters will be for sale the day of the event.
To sign up to volunteer for a 2.5 hour watch and get your own poster just e-mail us

A super poster launch party was enjoyed by many of our sponsors, supporters, artists, boat owners and friends...delicious sheep's milk cheeses from Glendale Shepherd, super selection of wines poured by Vail Wine Shop, yummy breads from Lavender Wind and terrific crackers from Bayleaf all went down well and made it even more fun!  Thanks donors for your generosity!  And thank you to our host Ryan and Friends Fine Art Gallery, stop by, look at some great art and refresh your spirit when you are next in Coupeville.

In the mean time planning for Coupeville celebrates the Art of the Boat is well underway and a tremendous amount of energy is flowing...stay tuned for updates!

Super News!

So happy to say that we have secured a good portion of the funding we will need to advertise and promote Coupeville celebrates the Art of the Boat.  Thank you so much to the Coupeville HistoricWaterfront Association, Front Street Realty and the Coupeville Chamber ofCommerce.  We couldn’t do this without you!  And important news for those of you who still wish to be sensors, we have until June 30th for sponsors to sign up and get their logo on our poster…but for now, we are starting to slide down the boatyard ways into the water for our first annual launch!
Thanks again!
